3D Laser Scanning & Scan-to-BIM
We combine high-precision 3D laser scanning with point cloud processing and BIM/Revit modelling to capture accurate as-built conditions of existing structures, plants and substations. This allows owners and EPC contractors to detect clashes before fabrication, verify dimensions against AFC drawings, and cut costly rework and tie-in risk on brownfield and retrofit projects.
How It Works
Field data capture: We deploy terrestrial laser scanners (e.g. Leica, Cyclone REGISTER 360) to capture millions of measured points across the site, producing a dense, millimeter-accurate point cloud.
Registration and georeferencing: Individual scans are registered and georeferenced into a single coordinate system tied to site control points, so the model lines up with existing drawings and site data.
BIM/Revit modelling: The point cloud is used to build an intelligent 3D model in Revit, capturing structural, mechanical, electrical and piping elements as they actually exist in the field.
Deliverables: Clients receive the registered point cloud, the Revit/BIM model, clash reports and as-built drawings, ready for design, retrofit or facility management use.
